Annual Special Events at Eye Level of Northbrook

 

Spring & Fall Writer’s Workshops - Free English workshops for Eye Level students only are held twice a year to focus on the fun application of reading and writing skills. Recent workshops include: “MadLibs: The fun use of Adverbs and Adjectives” and “The Basics of Writing Good Paragraphs.”

 

Spring & Fall Math Workshops - Free math workshops for Eye Level students only are held twice a year to focus on the fun application of math skills. Recent workshops include: “Time & Money” and “How to Solve Word Problems.”

 

Academic Celebration - In September we celebrate the return to school by having fun academic activities including treasure hunts, memory challenges, refreshments, and acknowledgement of individual’s accomplishments especially those who have “graduated” or finished our highest levels. This is for Eye Level students only.

 

Ice Cream Social - After the Northbrook 4th of July Parade, we are open for students, families, and their friends to stop in for ice cream, socialization, and celebration.

 

Spring & Fall Open Houses - Twice a year we welcome all (including the public) to stop in, see what we are doing, enjoy activities, refreshments, raffles and more.

 

Seasonal Fun Nights - Four times a year the children may attend Friday Fun Night for games, activities and refreshments. Always free, friends are welcome; and parents should enjoy the free babysitting, go out to dinner, take a walk, or otherwise just enjoy a little alone time.

 

Opportunities to support local events and groups including Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook, Unicef & Northfield Township Food Pantry, etc.
